2021 dodge scat pack wide body 3k on it when I got to work today noticed a burning smell just wondering if that normal

 

What did it smell like was burning? How long have you had it??

 

I’ve had it about 5 weeks put about 3k on it in miles just noticed the smell today almost like a plastic smell. Checked under the hood did see anything checked the oil was ok and coolant levels was ok also

 

That one is gonna be fun to find...... Might wanna drive it till it's nice and toasty warm, and you can actually smell it, then open the hood and go lookin'.

 

Actually got under the car and saw something melted to the exhaust

 

That would do it.

 

I'm happy I found this thread I have a 2020 50th widebody and was freaking out about a plastic burning smell. I checked everything under the hood and then I read this thread looked under the car and seen that a plastic bag had wrapped around my exhaust pipe underneath and has been melting for 2 days 😅
