Default P2311 2008 Dodge Charger

I have owned this car for 8 months and I am now on my FOURTH P2311 Coil D Misfire and REPLACEMENT. The car is under warranty and so it isn't costing me any money just time, BUt what is the problem. The first two times - the mechanic said it was a bad coil but NOW what is the excuse. Any ideas?

What is happening to the coil? Is it just getting hot, and failing? Might be a poor connection somewhere, causing high resistance in the circuit.... That'll smoke 'em fairly quick.

I dont know - I have a HUM Diagnostic device plugged in and I get the codes - Could the coolant level LOW have anything to do with it - It happens at the same time.

What is the cooling system performance whining about??? It *should* have anything to do with the coil.

I would take the vehicle back to dealer if they are the ones you have warranty with and contact Star for help. It sounds like you have a wiring problem or a connection problem with the Tipm module?
