Dodge ChargerThe Dodge Charger. The car that made its competitors shiver in the 60's is reborn in 2006 into a sleek sedan that can still send the competition home wimpering, the Dodge Charger.
If you are still having an issue fixing the trunklid button bracket, I have developed a ABS plastic one that will hold the button in place Will not rust away like original Let me know
if you can email me please bam! Would love one of these as my button also pushed in! Email- chilli.9@hotmail.com
Here is the clip I designed and printed out. Have not trialed it completely but based on measurements I took; I am confident of the fit. I developed this after using an aluminum strap to fix my son's car. This ABS one may need some slight modifications for this piece to fit the button. On my son's car, I did not attach the button to the new piece.......it is simply pushing the button against the light bar. I would sell these for $20. Big savings compared to the $500 plus they want for the light bar.
pics of the ABS bracket I have made to replace the metal one that rusts out. This captivates the actual button and holds it in place in the light bar and uses the factory screws.
Send me a PM and we can go from there. I developed this after my son's charger had the issue. I simply "glued" the button to this ABS part and the bracket pushes the button against the light bar. No issue as of yet....and will never rust out again.
