Am the proud owner of a 2021 Charger 392 Scat Pac with 6000 miles. Ordered the Plus interior. After about 4000 miles, the drivers seat cushion started to compress on drives longer than 45 minutes. After an hour in the driver seat, i can feel the bottom of the seat, various components mounnted in the bottom of the seat. Overnight the seat cushion recovers and is OK for another 45 minutes of driving. Then the seat becomes increasingly uncomfortable the longer drive. By the way, i am of normal weight 170 lbs. Makes me wonder if this is common on these seats, or is this just a bad lower seat cusion in my unit.

 

Have a chat with your dealer, that should be a warranty issue.

 

Thank you for the reply! Yes, i agree, this should be a warranty matter. However, my dealer is arguing that replacing the seat will only result in the same problem returning again later. The dealer made a second very strange argument: "These are performnce seats, they are not built for comfort". Flabbergasting statement!

 

Well, it's a performance car....so it will have performance seats. Not sure why you are flabbergasted. If you wanted comfort, you should have chosen a different vehicle maybe?

 

Just picked up the car after the dealer replaced the driver’s side seat cushion under warranty. The Service representative sat in the car and said he had recently had another car in for the same issue. The service representative informed me that the equipment that we both felt when sitting in the car is the seat fan motor. Appreciate the service from the dealer.
