Default 2008 Charger SXT

I'm looking at a prospective purchase.
Car has 118,000 miles on it, third owner, southwestern car, silver color, asking $6750
Carfax clean, shows nice history of servicing.
Seller reports no issues (but you know how that goes).

Can I expect any major issues coming up?

Thanks.

If it was well cared for, then probably not..... Question becomes, why was it replaced? Did the previous owner just want something newer?

The ad doesn't say. But I never believe anything anybody says when they are selling me something. LOL.

He's owned it 4 years. Drove about 12,000 miles a year. Regular oil changes. Serviced at dealers mostly. Passed emissions May 2022.

It's a 2.7L engine.

Any comments on that?

Run far far away. Not only is it WAY underpowered, every 2.7 LX car I see in the junkyards here burned to the ground.

Was that because of a fault with the engine? Or were the owners just tired of it being such a dog, and needed an excuse to buy a new car?

That's alot of people Molotov'ing their cars lol. The fires were all engine compartment, most of which spread to the interior (so much for a "firewall") and started melting the dash. I didn't notice the pattern right away. 3.5 and 5.7 cars were always fine or wrecks. I started looking closer when I'd see a burned one.

Actually, I think the manufacturers stopped calling it a 'firewall' a couple decades back, for just the reason you state. Now, it's a "bulkhead"...... so, no implication that it will stop a fire.
