getting tired of charger bashers
This is a different time and place. The original Chargers were and still are excellent examples of muscle cars in the 60s and 70s. This is not the 60s or 70s. I see the new Charger as a muscle car for the new millenium. The old ones "might" smoke us on the straights but we would grease them on the twisties. Given today's economy, we need a multifunction vehicle (I'm not talking about those trasvestite cross dresser "trucks" here - that's another forum and soapbox) to accomodate family and work chores as well as having fun and raising a little cane. What's wrong with a little comfort with your performance?
I feel my Charger still fits the orignal image. It hasn't fallen from the family tree, it's just further down the evolutionary trail.

Sorry Dave, my previous message was not directed at you or anyone in particular here, I was just venting.
What I was trying to say was if you wanted your SX to go faster, you should have bought a Hemi. If you wanted your Hemi to go faster you should have bought an SRT-8. If you wanted something that your car is not, don't change your car, trade it on the one you want. In the end you will have spent more time and money trying to make your car do what it was not designed to do. If you do heavily modify your car, when you go to trade it in, the dealer will laugh at you, while he depreciates the heck out of the car. To a car dealer, all of the modification reduce the value of the car. When cars started costing $30,000.00 they became an investment. You should protect your investment.
If someone does not like your car ask them to race! If you lose, you had fun, if he loses, revenge is sweet. Chances are the comments they are making are out of either envy or ignorance, not really worthy of your time or thought anyway.
I'm not usually this negative, but something got me all riled up...
I entered my TorRed Daytona in a local car show last week, the only mod done was a K&N CAI. Took home a best of show, so i think the design must work for the maasses as they did the voting. My car got more comments than alot of the older cars, I'm sure because of the Hemi but still she held her own.
Hey Orv,
First, congrats on your Best In Show.
Here are a couple shots of mine, one in our local auto show this weekend (yesterday). There were about 300 cars there and a parade afterwards. Ours are judged by several officials. Mine is the Mango one in the center of the photo.

Yea TorRedOrv0436, Best in Show... way to go. That's a lot of work getting your baby ready for the show, good job.
Thanks for that pic mnboy, there were some very nice cars there but that orange one in the middle caught my eye
That picture overlooking the cars is way to cool, you couldn't have gotten a better picture.
