Default will jetchip eliminate govenour and is superchip worth it

hi there to everyone a couple questions
1)will the jetchip eliminate the govenour problem
2)if not will the superchip
3)which is better as a single purchase ?
4)does one offer better performance gains over the other
5)as far as stacking both in there does anyone have any absolute proof that they work together

i realize these are a lot of questions and very debatible but im trying out a new thread to answer these question ,p.s if the gentleman from superchips adds to this thread please add more then info about warranty.we all are very smart people and for the most part all have good jobs ,dumb individual with no real jobs can just afford a 40000 car on foodstamps. So please add real info mrsuperchip tuner.real info means times and performance and since jet chips are your competition a comparision of theres verses yours would do you a lot of good.bottomline is we want performance gain numbers not talk about warranty.must of us know that we are already messing with that possibilty, the very second we started tinkering.

1)will the jetchip eliminate the govenour problem
1A) No the jetchip will not eliminate the govenour.

2)if not will the superchip
2A) No but the SuperChip will allow you to bump it up.

3)which is better as a single purchase ?
3A) This is a personal question, the JetChip is considerably le$$ than SuperChips but SuperChips gives you many more options. If you have the money set aside go w/SuperChips.

4)does one offer better performance gains over the other
4A) Subjective question, but given the options that SuperChips offers it is a clear winner if price isn't an issue.

5)as far as stacking both in there does anyone have any absolute proof that they work together
5A) Depends on what you call "absolute proof". I would trust track time slips.

I absolutely agree with Mango on everything. I have just "stacked" the JET Stage II and the Super Chips tuner. In my opinion, just seat-of-the-pants feel, the power is stronger on the bottom, but still hits hard on top. It is also much smoother - almost like an electric motor through second gear. I am going to try to at least get some 0 - 60 times with the JET chip alone, SC alone, and then the two together. We'll have to see how the weather is this weekend - we've been getting much, much more rain that we normally do. But, I do feel that, so far, they ARE working well together.

Alright, I am so not understanding this stack thing...I truly want to. I have the superchips and it is set up with performance settings. Reduce torque management, speed limiter, trans setting...blah blah..Now explain how I would hook up the Jetchip? Is it like a programmer or is it just a chip? Can the dealer detect it. I can go back to stock with my superchip but what about with the Jetchip? How does it help performance without causing a conflict? I dont see how they work together. DOES IT HELP? true timeslip will show that but can i tell a difference in performance on daily driving. (my daily driving is at 80 mph)...We all know I screwed up with resonators and fuse pulling for ESP total kill...Someone please post up about the differences and how it can improve performance.

P.S. mapson2 please dont respond because I dont want to read a run-on sentence....

The JET chip plugs in - actually, it's kind of piggy-backed onto the car's computer connector. It's not programmable. I don't know yet, i.e., can't prove, that it helps things, but it sure feels like it. I'm hoping to get some 0 - 60 times soon - stock, with JET chip only, SC tuner only, then with them stacked. That's really the only way to know for sure. I do know that the power delivery seems much, much smoother and it pulls very hard through first and second gear. Just a good, strong steady pull - no sudden hits - just stomp and GO!

Hope this somewhat answers your questions.

This is fuse free [sm=lol.gif]

Four easy steps to stacking:
1 Use SuperChips Flashpaq and revert back to Stock.
2 Plug in the JetChip
3 Use SuperChips to put your favorite setting back on.
4 Drive her like it you were stealing it.

<edit> Hide-n-see if it helps... Dave is going to put up some times for us.

Dave, my friend,

Help us ALL!

Your forthcoming study of the differences between the lowly Jet 2 chip and the sacred SuperChip programmer is going to send ripples around the world. I'm sure it will be a comprehensive study involving hours of testing and computer data...

Or, maybe just a fun weekend at the track!

Personally, I REALLY am interested in this one!

Your THE man.

First off we WILL not warrentee our product with you stacking the 2 items. That said......
You are going about ALL wrong.

If one was to do it right , you do NOT put the program to stock first. then install the chip.... You will cause a communications loss and you could BOMB the computer.
No matter what people say about how they did it.

One would program first and THEN install the chip.

I in no way am approving the install.
But if you have a problem and smoke your PCM do not try to get us to take care of it....
