Default Torq converters

Has anyone seen any after market torque converters for our Hemis? That would be a way to get better acceleration; might mess up the traction control, though. Anyone have any thoughts/ideas on this?

I've heard the ProTorque folks will modify one for ya.

Not much help but here's one for the SRT8.

There may be another problem overcoming the TCM <=> PCM communication, it would be all out of sorts at a higher stall.

Yeah, that's what I was kind of afraid of. Is it just me, or did DCX kind of over-do the computer systems on these cars [&:]

I just looked at your link - Geez! Is that thing made out of gold! Kind of pricey if you ask me.

I agree, their not making it any easier to work on these things.

Call ProTorque , their prices should be reasonable.

I e-mailed protorq. They responded right away saying they are working on one and wanted to know if I wanted to be a beta tester for it

Dave,

Did you ask them if it would cure your cars 'smoking problem'? I'll bet it would make it worse....

[sm=funnypostabove.gif] Tryin' to quit! Honest! But, I haven't decided yet. I kind of don't like the idea of using my car as a test mule. Still.............

Dave,

Read all the posts here, as I ususally do, and am confused about why you'd want to go to a higher stall torque converter? A heavy car with medium HP isn't a canidate for a high stall converter.

I am lost on this one.

Am I miss understanding this whole thing?

Beta Test... Beta Test... Beta Test... Beta Test... Beta Test... Beta Test... Beta Test... Beta Test...

Is there a good incentive to be a test bed for them?
