I don't think it comes from the rear but, rather, from underneath where the "suitcase" was. It's kind of a combination of sound and vibration, at least that's what I'm experiencing. I would think, theoritically anyway, that if we ran straight pipe to the rear, i.e., nothing in the middle where the "suitcase" was, and just mufflers at the very rear, that might get rid of the drone. If it was still there, at least it would be behind us. Make Sense? There would be nothing underneath to trap the sound waves when it goes into MDS mode - they would be free to travel all the way to the end.

I DONT HAVE ANY OF THOSE PROBLEMS. I REPLACED MY SYSTEM WITH A ALL STAINLESS CAT BACK MAGANAFLOW SYSTEM. NO PROBLEMS. SOUNDS GREAT NICE LITE TONE AT IDLE AND MEAN WHEN YOU GET ON IT. CHEAP TOO. I FOUND IT ON EBAY BRAND NEW WITH NO PROBLEMS $550.00 SHIPPED TO THE DOOR.
