Received the Traction Control Window Switch yesterday and while hooking it up found something odd. I saved the tap for the Tach signal for last and found there isn't a Dark Blue (Per all documents there is supposed to be a Dark Blue wire[&:]) wire leading to the coil pack, both wires were Brown w/yeller stripe (see pic).

I took a guess and stabbed the tap into the larger gauge wire. There wasn't time to take her out last night for a test. After consulting w/a few other people and CompCam's (<= yep ZEX = CompCam) tech support they said it was the wire closest to the red tab, which is the smaller wire.

Once I get home I'll swap the tap to the smaller guage wire and will be ready to get this thing going

<edit> added some details.

Ok, ok... I haven't made time to mess with the new "window switch" and programming the Management Unit

I'll have time to work on it this weekend, will post up once I play with this stuff.

A day without the kid and my GF had a headache, so what’s a guy to do... well play w/Nitrous of course I’ve been procrastinating getting it fired up. You know family stuff Easter, kido gymnastic stuff, work everything in-between.

One I still had an issue with the management unit (MU) programming. The MU would activate sometimes but not consistently when taping the throttle position sensor wire. I moved the tap wire to the gas pedal switch (white/black stripe), it provided the constant .5 volts that the MU watched when at WOT.

The setup:
I tuned down the SC to 87 octane & stock shift points.
Window switch set to 2800rpm to turn on, 5600rpm to turn off and 0 passes. The window switch can be set to wait until you pass the rpm range x amount of times... scenario - If it’s set to go 1 pass: from a stand still you go WOT, it revs up to 5600 then shifts (that’s one pass of the rpm range) and in 2nd gear it turns on within the rpm window. Setting the passes to 0 turns off that feature.

I used the 75 hp jets first and wasn’t impressed so I brought her in to swap up to the 100 hp jets. When swapping them out I found that I had swapped the nitrous jet where the gas should be and visa-versa. Doh [&:]no wonderI wasn't impressed. Testing once again with the 100 hp jets in the right nozzles and all I can say is WOW SWEET! I started from a 30mph roll roughly 1800rpm and stomped the gas, around 3000rpm the MU turned on and started spraying, it pushing me back into the seat firmly and the car hit 100 before I could say ZEX.

I'm happy withthe setup and will play some more on the way to work tomorrow morning. The traffic will almost zeroand I can open her up more.
