Default Need some help!

I have an '09 Dakota and thought it was a good idea to cut the wire underneath the driver's seat to disable the seat belt chime. My stupid move back fired big time. The car thinks the seat belt is undone at all times now. The alarm won't shut off. I've now read through some posts and found a way to disable it manually by playing with the buckle a few times when you start it. Obviously that won't work for me after I cut the wire.

Is there anything I can do without having to have the line repaired??? Any chance there is a fuse that only works the seat belt alarm that I could unplug?

You may want to post this question under the 3rd Gen. Dakota section.

And Im sure the better way would have been to check to see if there is a fuse you could have pulled.. lol Hopefully you get her fixed.

Or simply splice the wire back together. If the ends are too short, you can just buy the same gauge wire and put a patch in between the two ends splicing at both ends of the patch.
