How important is truck color to you!!
Looking all over for a truck that fits my very selective criteria. Found one that is very close, but is (no offense to anyone that owns one), Butt ugly Brown. I thought Silver was on the bottom of my list, but this light brown 02 has to be least flattering color on an otherwise good looking truck. I did find a couple of other items that concerend me about the truck, but my wife thinks that color is not worty of being a deciding factor.
Any one else agree with her foolishness?
Anyone else buy a truck or car, then hating the color from then on?

well when I ws looking for my truck I found it and it was 100kms away. I couldnt find one with a V8, 4x4, loaded. an it said it was bue. so I drove down there. and it ended up being purple. I bought it anywys. I wasnt goona let just the colour of it make me not buy it. but its not that bad of a colour. I like it. my friends make fun of me for having a purple truck. but I dont really care. once you wax it, it shines up soo nice.

Would you rather drive around the fastest big block with a butt ugly color, or the sharpest thing on the road that breaks down everyday? For me, personally, I wouldn't care if it was pink with green stripes and yellow pokadots as long as it was perfect for what I am using it for. Think about it this way. Buy the truck that has all the options you need/want that is also reliable and get it painted the color you want. You could spend the same money in the end if you buy a truck that ends up needing work 3 months after you buy it, or you break down and buy the options seperately that it didn't come with.
That is just my $.02.
By the way, tell your wife that I agree with her.

Anything BUT white.
Anything BUT white.
When i was looking for my Dakota R/T on autotrader, i found 2 within 100miles. One was white with 70k miles and SC with about 4k in the engine for only 8500, and the other one was a bone stock CC black r/t with 80k miles and it was black my fav color on a truck... the one i bought was white...
I had the choice of either...
bone stock CC R/T Black for 8500 /w80k miles
or
4k of engine mods SC R/T White w/ 70kmiles for 8500
i went with the White one.. becuase you can always get another paint job, i plain on keeping the truck my whole life, so reselling it a dif color isnt going to be a problem, going from white to black though it going to be a bitch, if somone doesn't know how to paint correctly. I dont want white spots.
I am not dishing out the money if I am not happy all around. Color included!!!

Color is a very important factor to me,
but with limited options it gets hard to be picky
my little red caught my eye and it was a good deal so I got it,
my only regret is not stopping here first to see how lame the 4cyl is.

I am not too picky on color, but my vehicles have always been purchased used. Personally, it doesn't bother me too much, but I've never had a vehicle that had a color that I disliked, either.
Overall it is your own choice. If you don't care, buy it. But it seems as if you care a lot... so you can look at other trucks, or look at painting it.
In the end it is ALL up to you.
Good luck.
