Default Early 90's Dakota

There a nice early model not sure of the year but I think it's 2.5L 4 banger. Does anyone have the spec's on the motor. I wouldn't really jump on a 4 banger but the thing is in great condition exterior wise and I could use it for the company to haula few items for work.

And if theres any know quirks I should check for..

Thanks!

Is it a manual or auto?

It is an auto. Do these suffer the 100K mile tranny failure like the Jeep's do... lol..

My Dakota is an auto and I have 140K+ miles on it. It is a 6 cylinder though. The only thing I have had to replace was the idler arm, and the bumper (the latter was because I backed into a concrete pillar in the underground parking lot in the Peace Corps HQ lol.

Well.. thats good news! My Jeeps seem to have this terminal thing with trannys.. my 93 GC w/quadra track died at 90K That was 2700 for a new tranny in 97, The cherokee went out at 120.. and hopefully this Liberty will last longer but it only has 15 K on as I drive my sports car instead of the jeep. I'm just not happy with the Liberty.. I'm hoping to get a R/T Magnum next year! Hoo Haa!

But I would really like some input on the 2.5L 4 Banger..anyone know the tow rating? Or how many pony's it has... Then I can go from there.

On my Grand Cherokee I haven't had a problem with transmissions... I've had a major brake problem. The last 2 times I have had my rotors replaced they charged me $400 each time.

Well congrats on your future buy lol!
I might get an SRT-8 next year, but right now I'm not totally sure on what's going to replace my Seville. If there is a limited availability, I will just go for a regular C or an Audi A6 Quattro.

I believe the HP is 120 for it. It could vary somewhat depending on the year, so it's somewhere around 120 hp.
