Intercooler
Anyone try out the FM indy intercooler? I was wondering if i should buy that one of go with a fitted spearco, there is quite a differance in price, but im thinking if i go with the spearco I will wait to get the money for it, opinions?
According to what I've read from them, the Indy intercoolers are good for around a 15 horsepower gain over the stock intercooler. If that is true then it is the one I would buy, in fact I was going to had I kept my Shelby Z.
It appeared to me that it was just a replacement for the factory intercooler and mounted in the same place. If not, Forward Motion should carry the proper hoses to install it since they sell it. You best bet though is to take it to an exhaust shop and have them custom make the hard pipes for it. This way it is pipes instead of hoses and it will also look better and you can paint them any color you like. You would be better off to have them use stainless steel instead of the usual aluminized steel to keep it from ever rusting. And for maximum flow and smoothness, get a few mandrel bent L or U's of the same type of pipes in the same size from someplace like Jegs.

No problem, I just hope that I'm right about it being a direct replacement.

It would just make the intercooler more efficient. Moving the intercooler up front and away from the radiator will allow the intercooler to cool the air even more which will increase power.
