Your talking pounds of boost right, I think it is either 6 or 7.5. Just curious, why isnt it running?Any particular problems that we may be able to help with?

I just bought the car from my uncle for $500(Yes it's a Shelby). He is the original owner of the car and he just doesint have time for it anymore. The transfer shaft went bad in the transmission so the part is getting fixed at a machine shop. Then we will put the trans. in this week. Lucky for me my uncle has worked for dodge for 20 years so i have help if i need it and the car is in good condition.

The stock boost on a 2.2L Turbo II is 7.5 PSI max., even the Mopar Performance PCM doesn't bump it up to 14 PSI, it will bump it up to 13 PSI though.

Good catch....almost!

All TII's were calibrated for 12 psi for 5 sec at WOT, then it backs down to 9 psi. 14psi was the boost achieved with a Mopar Performance "Shelby only" computer. 7.5psi was the stock boost for the early pre 88, non-intercooled TI motors.

Everything I had read about and on my '88 Shelby Z had the max. stock boost at 7.5 PSI and this carried for all of the 2.2L Turbo II's. As you mentioned the "Shelby only" was the only Mopar Performance PCM that bumped them up to 14 PSI max. (only on the intercooled Shelby's I believe) and the "Shelby only" does not include the Shelby Z's since they are not "true" Shelby products like the GLH, GLH-S, Shelby Chargers, etc. The Mopar Performance Turbo II PCM's were good for 13 max. PSI, although my Shelby Z would peg the boost gauge on occasion, mostly during the cold winter months or cool summer nights. But since my speedo/odometer only worked half the time, I figure that it could partly be due to the gauge.

I'm not doubting what you've read, especially if you read it from the MP catalog because I don't think its correct info. And yes, they "Shelby only" computers are for the cars that came from ol'Shelby himself. The only difference was that they had the map sensor attached to the side of the logic module. The Shelby Z's had a under hood map. The Shelby computers could be use in a Shelby Z, but the map sensor would need to be re-wired to the logic mod.

As far as the 7.5psi on the TII's goes, my GLH ran 7.5psi from the factory. I would hope that if they added an intercooler they would have at least took advantage of it. I'm now currently running 10-12psi on my GLH now, without an intercooler.
