Default 2.2/2.5 maximum horsepower

I'm new to these engines, just started to research them. What is the max amount of power you can get from an N/A 2.2/2.5L engine.

Turbo or non turbo? Depends on how much money you want to put into it. If you can get your hands on a 16 valve head then you can really build some power. This may be a worth while read...

How much money do you have? How reliable do you want it to be?

If you can find one of these books it will answer your questions. It's out of print though.
