I don't have a Daytona, but have always liked them. When I was graduating from college in 1993 I considered several cars and the Daytona was eliminated from the finalists. I still have the car I bought. There was a dealer brochure with a black Daytona that I wish I still had. What a beautiful car!

Original owner of 1985 Turbo Z which I upgraded with Direct Connection parts back then to make it my "Direct Connection Turbo Z". Direct Connection Intercooler and logic module along with shocks and struts. Has G-valve and 5th injector, podded boost and a/f ratio gauges.

now have two
I am the original owner of an 88 turbo Z, it has been sitting since 09 since the SECOND turbo I installed then started smoking after only 1500 miles. I am about to get it back inside (it has been covered and periodically started/driven) and R&R the turbo again-the car itself is still very clean and the engine sounds good, I always changed the oil before 2500 mile intervals, and cannot wait to get it back on the road again.
I just bought a 1990 ES with a 3.0 V6, automatic, with only 70,000 miles, and it is in remarkable condition. It needs only minor maintenance, and has been added to my stable of daily drivers. It really runs nice, still has VERY cold AC thanks to the R12, and is inspiring me to get the Shelby back on the road now. Both cars are the bright red color, so side by side look very cool too.
