Yeah, they are all governed in some way. Most of them are by the computer restricting the fuel. Less fuel= less power= less speed. There is a way around it. I "tweaked" mine and got my '85 up to 135 mph. In a couple years it won't matter, since the car will no longer be anywhere near stock...

Yeah it's called a computer upgrade..

1. 3 bar map sensor
2. reprogrammed Logic module-- since your running an 84-87 eletronics--it's located on the passenger side kick panel-- if you own a 88-93 it's under the hood behind the battery.

try www.turbosunleashed.com for the computer or www.FWDperformance.com

either one can hook you up. unless you know somebody that has a Eprom and the codes! (which I do)

So to run more than 14 pounds of boost i need to get a 3 bar map sensor and a computer to read over 14 pounds? and what is the eprom and what does it do? And also I was wondering if you had any performace tips to a 1989 daytona 2.2 intercooled turbo. Any info would be great.
Thanks Dave

Eprom is the chip in your computer that holds the programming

I don't have a turbo, so that wouldn't have worked for me anyway... As for how I did mine, the fuel management computer (the one by the battery on my year) can be modified with a jumper wire, but I did mine over 10 years ago and I can't remember which chip gets it or what lines need to be tapped into.
