Default Wind resistance

Would there be any pro's to actually making the little cut out in the ground effects on my 89' daytona shelby functional, I noticed it is blocked off, if I were to make that functional, I dont think it would make a big differance.Ideas?

Absolutely no difference. They are there for appearance only. Taking them off would reduce wieght...

Now that would be a weight reduction program, it might lose .00000000000001 pounds total.[sm=smiley36.gif] It won't do anything except look slightly different, look more functional and lose .00000000000001 pounds.

I meant all of the ground fx, not just the little scoop cover. Those things add up - thats why dodge made the cs (shelby daytona w/o the fx and options) model in 89-90.

If your just running 1/4 mile then that is definately the way to go, that's the same reason the 5.0L Mustang LX's are so popular for drags. If your looking for freeway style fun, then you gotta have the ground effects.[sm=smiley20.gif]

Indeed. I'm afraid that if you bought a Shelby Daytona for the 1/4, you'll be disapointed. These boats are more for cruising. The Omnis, Chargers, and Shadows are better because they are so much lighter to begin with.

What is the weight differece between the G and the P-body's. I really need to get off my *** and get my 1/4 mile Shadow project finished.
