It depends on what type of sound you want, I've never had Magnaflow, I hear it sounds aggressive, but not loud.I'll be purchasing a Magnaflow catback soon.If you want louder, flowmaster would do the trick, if you want something overpriced with the same sound as a Magnaflow, buy Borla.I have Mac on my 2000Gt Mustang (03 Mach1 engine), it sounds mean and screams when it's opened up.I don't want this on my Hemi though. As far as any other brands, never heard anything else.Good luck.

From what I hear from a lot of Hemi owner's, Magnaflow is the way to go for a little bit louder than stock and there's still enough back pressure not to hurt performance.

I did research for a month while I was in spain before I purchased my exhaust. My biggest problem was how it would sound on my truck.I wished I could stop every truck that went by and ask" what exhaust is that"? this is what I know. Flowmaster has a deep aggressive tone that cant be beat! Having said that, I went with borla. I got out of it without spending an arm and a leg because I had the exhaust shop bend the pipes. I am sold on borla, its loud when i'm on the throttle and you can barely hear it when it's in overdrive.Hope you find what you are looking for...

I have always run Gibson on all my trucks. Pretty quiet until you hit WOT. Nice deep low tone, yet loud enough to get peoples attention. Plus there isnt any drone in the cab. Just my .02.

+1 on the Magnaflow. You just can't go wrong with the Mags. Nice clean rumble with minimum drone. I have heard a buddy of mine's 09 Ram with a self-installed Flowmaster. He knew what he was doing when he installed it so I would assume his results are close to what others might experience which was not all that great. The pipes sounded kind of drony, especially when the fuel saver came on. They weren't too bad in the higher RPMs but lo RPMs sound like glorified fart cans.

magnaflow are glass packs... they will change tone over time, get louder and eventually blow out.

I liked them on my 04 and my car for a while but then after 20k miles it got annoying. I prefer flowmaster now.
