Default Front bumper fascia

How loose is the front bumper fascia supposed to be? I just had my chrome bumper replaced due to rust issues and I now notice that the painted fascia that sits over the front bumper seems quite loose.

I don't know whether they broke a retaining clip or whether I just didn't notice how loose the fit was before. It just seems to have quite a bit of up and down movement now.

If it were my truck, i would walk a round in the dealers lot and check some other trucks out and see if its as loose as yours.
Somethin dont dont to kosher to me if its that loose.

I do believe that there are clips on the back side in the center of the fascia, these clips slide into a slot. The clips on the bottom of the grille also slide in the same slot, making it tight. maybe they broke of one of the clips on the bottom of the grille, or didn't get the one from the fascia in the slot, it's possible I've done it. take the three or four bolts out of the top of the grille and tilt the top of the grille forward. you should be able to see if any clips are damaged or not in place.

Yes, one or more of those clips may be unseated. Right after I got my truck I had the front end apart a bit to put in HIDs and noticed that one clip on the passenger side at the top of the bumper facia was not fastened. Check them out and see if that's your issue.

I rechecked mine, while washing the truck today, and there is VERY LITTLE movement, if at all..... if your's is loose, they broke something!

Thanks for the responses. I will be heading over to the lot to check out some other Rams but as said above I am pretty confident they may have broken something either taking it apart or putting it back together......

A popped-out clip is not broken and is really easy to fix...

Not supposed to be loose then it would rub the fender and cause paint to wear. Mine is tight as possible, as if it was part of the fenders.

Mine feels loose to. They checked it and said it was fine. But it does feel loose to me. I just chalked it up to lousy craftsmanship.
