Back-up Camera problem?
I have the factory back-up camera on my 2011 Laramie.
At night, the picture has these annoying horizontal lines running across it. Kind of looks like what you would call "bad reception" on an over-the-air TV broadcast. Its always been this way. I don't have this issue in daylight so I though it was just a low light issue with the camera and would just live with it. I have a boat, and believe me, trailer hook-up has never been easier so I'm not discouraging anyone form buying one. Just trying to find out if I have a bad camera.
I recently bought a Recon light bar and just got around to hard wiring the back-up lights. As a result, I now have plenty of light while in reverse but still have this little aggravation.
Anyone else seeing this issue?
Thanks in advance.................

My guess is no. There was really no difference before and after I installed the light bar. I was hoping the increase in light would improve the image and get rid of the lines. The image is brighter but the lines are still there.
Thanks!
Could it be the display screen instead of the lense? In low light when the headlights are on, the display dims along with the dashlights. If it is a bad pixel row in the screen , you may never see it while looking at the low resolution radio/nav graphics and it only shows while viewing high res images (and/or becomes more visible with the dimmed display).

My aftermarket CCD camera in the front and back are great at night and day, no grainyness like you have there. Only time there is an issue is the front when it's raining, if a drop sits right in the middle of the lense.
