I am new to a Dodge truck, so is there a way to tell when the truck is in MDS mode?
I can't seem to hear, sense or feel anything that might tell me the MDS is active.

 

What year? For my 13, the ECO mode pops up on the EVIC when MDS is engaged. I can also feel and hear the difference when it is engaged and I turn a corner.

 

I have a 2009

 

From page 232 of the 09 Ram owners manual, you will have ECO show up when the MDS is activated.

 

on my 2009 it will appear on the cluster lower area. I can feel mine through the gas pedal, and at lower speeds hear the difference .. my 09 has 322,700 miles on the truck, drive it everyday

 

I am looking at page 232 of my owners manual, and I don't see anything like you mentioned "you will have ECO show up when the MDS is activated"
that you seen on a 09 Ram owners manual.
I see ESP indicator light/BAS warning light information and check gauges info on my page 232
I am not seeing what you are seeing, confusing.....................

I bet you have an early 09 ram,,,, my 09 was built in Sept 2008, and from what my dealer says the ECO light was a mid year add on,, as I know my 09 has no eco light or message on the cluster
