Front bumper dosent have nostrils
different rear bumper
smaller dual exhaust outlets
side moldings

but one argument my wife and i got stuck on was:
does the real SRT have a taller spoiler than the appearance? or are the only two spoilers available the SXT and SRT (meaning the one in question was an aftermarket spoiler)? im not going to say which side i chose b/c i dont want you showing any bias for a fellow DF member, but if you use common sense youll know where i stand on the issue.


i should also note, its NOT the spoiler that was offered on the 2nd gen i have seen on R/Ts. the debate is over a FACTORY spoiler offered on the SRT wannabie package

 

Same spoiler. And different hood isn't it? Or maybe its just vent, says like "srt design" or something on the vent which is different then the SRT.

 

yeah, its a plastic insert on the hood, says 2.4 Turbo on it on the SRT

 

Is the vent just for looks or does it actually give the engine more air???

 

its actually functional. it gets air back there flowing around the turbo. this is why there is debate on certain strut tower bars and the MPx heat shield, as they may block the airflow to the turbo. its a tight area in that engine bay, hence why they had to add the nostrils at the last second before production.

 

Hello I own a dodge neon SRT DESIGN which has the same hood and spoiler as a SRT but the front bumper and the rear bumper are different.The exaust tips are a little smaller on mine too.I wanted a SRT but the wife refused to drive a standard.

 

I would have told her to learn or else she wouldn't be able to drive anywhere.

 

You wouldnt say that when she went through a few transmissions

 

The design has a r/t exhaust its got smaller tips than the srt4 . Also when I got my 04 sxt there was a tuner package which has the mopar kit and srt spoiler and r/t exhaust but the dealer didnt offer it to me so I had to take my srt exhaust when I put the mopar /borla on my acr and trade my sxt wing for a srt wing in black .

 

That's funny! I had a similar experience that sucks like that.

picked up my used 2004 SE on a lot that had an SRT of the same color (of course, it was twice the price).. but I opted for the SE cuz it was auto. Once I got the car and had the wife check it out, she doesn't even want to drive it! She says it's too low, or small or rough ridin or somethin (she drives a minivan)...crap! If I woulda known that, guess what I could be drivin![:@]
