Can't get rid of my old web cam software?
I had a logitech quick cam and didn't like it so I decided to upgrade. I went with a microsoft lifecam. Anyway I can't get rid of the old logitech software. Well I got rid of the stuff that I could in add/remove but there's still some crap hanging around. I've tried deleting it that doesn't work. I'm really stumped here I can't use my new camera till I get rid of this junk. I also tried going thorugh Logitech's website but I need all the info about the model I had, and I don't have any of it anymore.
Any suggestions?

use regedit.
be sure to backup registry
search for any reference to the logitech camera.
delete references.
reboot.
should be gone
msconfig.
make sure there's no reference to the logitech in the startup.

The only choices are a good registry editor, a system reload, or trying to find all the files and manually deleting them....but a reload is probably in your future...

You mean reloading windows? Sorry probably a stupid question.

if its that problematic, then you may have to..

A system reload may indeed be the only thing you can do to truly get rid of the software. It sucks and it can be a pain, but if you have the right people and software, can be done rather easily.
One question however, are you leaving your webcam plugged in while rebooting?
When I had something like this happen, I just went through and manually deleted everything and it was all good... use the search option.
