Agreed but their laptops hold their own, and you can run Windows. I just ordered a Macbook Pro to replace my fried toshiba.

Yes, their laptops arent crap, I will give them that.... but you still have to purchase Windows...

Macs are the standard for computer design these days. Adobe is way better on a mac... and who cares about gaming on a computer. Computer games are cool, but that's far from the be all end all that makes a computer good. PC's get too many virus.

 

I just like Macs cause their faster, easier to use and no virus', spyware nor adware.

I do movies and photography (just for fun) and the Mac is by far better than my PC for making the videos and editing the photos and such.

the only thing i really dont like about the Macs though, if i just want to view the photos. no editing or anything just viewing. its a pain with iPhoto and Aperature. but otherwise thats my only complaint.

for my gaming i have my Compaq but i hardly game anymore so its all good.

Oh, i have two G4 iBooks and a G3 Powerbook. soon to have a Macbook, and if the finances come, then it will be a MacBook Pro.

 

Adobe is the same on either a Mac or a PC...... same chipsets, same video cards, the only difference is the operating system.... trust me, I've been using Adobe for a LONG time.....

5-6 years ago had you made that comment you would have gotten 100% agreement from me....but not anymore because of the performance improvements of PC's today. There's just not enough of a difference anymore to make a decision solely based on that.

Macs are the standard for design simply because back in the day they were 10 times better at it then PC's....that's not the case anymore, but people still believe it. I'm not saying PC's are better, merely saying they've caught up...

Half the reason I'll buy a computer is to game, so if it cant do that, what the hell is the point in owning it? PC's get too many viruses? Well let me think about that for a second...... Mac supports like 20,000 applications.... PC supports like 1 billion applications.... gee... I wonder why there are issues...

Or is it any coincidence that over the last 5 years, Macs have seen a 1000% percent increase in virus/security issues due to the fact they've started adding/allowing new software to be used on their systems??

 

Smart people don't get viruses...

 

Well put! Mac is good nonetheless, but still a work in progress. Until a few more years pass, PC's will reign superior.
