right...but when there was a thread..i dont even remember what it was called now...once the slightest mention of sex was made...it became a "lets see what we can get the ladies here to admit to" thread...and there were Several people very active in that particular thread, specifically the sexual aspect of it, that are very very rare to post...

 

Yah, I agree. It would just have to have limits and rules, like every place else. Maybe a moderator just for that forum. Put the smack down and tell people to take it to PM's when it starts getting over the line.

It's all up to you guys though, you're the ones doing the work. I'm just kicking out suggestions that might help the site as a whole.

 

Didn't even think of flamming, but I'm sure people would do it....even with a high level number of posts. I'd still be ok with it though...

most ppl on here are mature enough to not let it get out of hand tho

 

i like the idea, but i also like the once u reach a certain number of post u get something or get to do something special better. personally i ignore the titles, but that is mostly because everyone has the same few. i think the majority of people are mature enough to be respectful with each other and their titles, but yeah its not worth the work even though it sounds cool. what do u have in mind as a reward for a certain number of posts. why not 2500 instead of 5000. we only have 10 over 2500 and alot of them are moderators and can do what they want anyways.

 

The problem with having it available at a set number of posts is that it would highly promote post whoring... And we all know that's a MAJOR no-no around here.

 

I started it... it was the You're Under Arrest thread.

I will seriously think about it... I don't have a problem doing it if it's after a larger posted amount. LOL! BUT... let me think about it first.

And no, DF has special treatment like no other site I run... so I have to watch the so called "small things" I do for DF cause if I have to do it for 40 forums... it might kill me. LOL!

oo yeah, but how many people at 300 will post ***** to 2500 or w/e. and people i would think would have more maturity then that. i think in like 8 months or w/e Ive only been yelled at twice. post whoring is another thing Amanda will have to consider in her decisions.
