I think its a good idea to do it for over a certain # of posts or for paid members. I don't know how much work it would be but some thing extra for the long time members other than just a number of posts would be a good idea IMO.

About the Titles again. The largest forum on the web has custom titles if you subscribe, meaning you've got to pay to get an avitar and custom title. I have never seen any flamming there with the titles, even with well over 100,000 members. Also, I don't think people should have to pay to get a custom title and/or avitar. [&:]

it creates more work for amanda...who, as previously stated, runs a TON of other forums as well....
