Can some one please instruct me on how to make my own avatar?

 

Literally making one in a picture program or just posting one up here?

somthing I have been thinking about asking for a while is how did you get your avatar to cycle pics like that?

I have a few images of my avatar persona in different poses and I tink it would be cool to have him cycle through them.

Mine is an animated picture, that's all... a gif file.

yes making one. You did such a great job showing me how to show a pic in my posts...I'd really like to know how to make my own avatar. I am in several forums and asked, but some people are such asses. I'm kinda a novice at some of this shiznit; I know the basics and thats about it. I tried making my pics smaller in photoshop, but it make them all blocky or blurrie. What am I doing wrong?
