since the sections got changed around and people aren't happy about off topic being at teh bottom, why not get rid of some of teh dead sections between the top and off topic. i suggest 2 sections that should probably go.

for 1 the closed Chrysler topics. it has been dead almost a year, just wasting space and we now have chryslerfroum linked right below it.

teh second is teh crossfire srt6 section. i think it was me who had you create it, but that was before Chrysler forums, and the crossfire srt6 has 6 threads in teh whole time being open.

 

I'll second that suggestion, it is truly wasted space.

You could also condense the Support Our Sponsors section by changing it from 2 columns to 3/4 columns. It would help add space. I think going to 3 columns would suffice.

 

who are the people bitching about it? the ones who dont have vehicles, who never venture out of the off topic section? this isnt supposed to be an off topic forum...its supposed to be a dodge forum...the busiest sections should be the ones about cars and trucks, not the ones about BS.

 

i understand that, and bitching about off topic isn't the point of this, the point of this is to maybe get rid of wastes of room.

The support Our Sponsors thing is necessary, I'll see if we can shorten it... I'll move the Closed Chrysler Topics...

i don't think i said complaining as much as not happy. it doesn't matter. thank you for taking care of that, and on a side note my section still hasn't had a post or vote of any kind since it got moved up.

i don't think he wants to get rid of the sponsor section, just make it more columns so more fits.

just to clarify I'm not complaining. just saw unnecessary sections and since you were working with them, i'd thought i put some input in about those sections.

on a side note Ive got money to waste so I'm off to Murray's.

We have indeed since and increase in posts in the tech sections since "the move". That is IS good.

I removed Old Chrysler Topcs, Crossfire SRT6 (and the 300c SRT-8 but that didn't remove a section). I'm thinking of removing the link to CF, but 2,500 people have visited BECAUSE of the link... Hmmm...

Amanda, i came to that conclusion due to some whining in the thread you started. no one has really said anything to me personally or elsewhere in the site. i probably didn't word that first post the best way. the way i worded it actually seemed to take away form the whole purpose of the thread. sorry if i started anything.

The tech sections were slowly getting slow because of the Off Topic focus... it's still an important factor to DF, it's out pow wow room so to speak, but we want to focus on techinical and have a kick *** off topic section as well, not hte other way around.

I think everyone will get used to the new set up quickly.
