Unresponsive clicks
Every now and then when I click a link on this site and it doesn't do anything. I get the little loading icon but the page doesn't load. This only happens on this site. Does anyone else get this problem? It's not really annoying, but I'm just curious to know if it's my browser or the server.
I get it a lot. Very annoying if you ask me. To view 'Off Topic' today, I had to click the link, cancel the loading, click and cancel again, and then it finally loaded. I thought it had something to do with my computer, but I guess not.

I get the same thing a few times a day. In my case, I blame my internet: the cable internet where I'm at sucks, and my router seems to be a piece.
Wouldn't you know it, this is my second attempt at posting, the first time, it didn't go....

Are you guys using Mozilla Firefox?
Cause it used to happen to me on Mozilla, but since I've been using AOL Explorer, I haven't had the problem. Never happened on regular AOL either.

It happens for me on IE, but only when I'm already doing something else with a lot of my bandwidth...like downloading large amounts of data. And even then, it only happens once and a while.
It has to do with the "wonderful" way that ASP works [:'(] and how busy your network and/or connection is. If you live in a residential neighborhood, you'll find that your internet is the slowest from around 4:30-9:00...ESPECIALLY if you have cable internet. That's when everyone gets home and turns on their computer/TV. This additional network load can cause slow downs and non-responsiveness.
It also has a lot to do with how much your network card can handle, but for the majority of the members that shouldn't matter. Personally, I have a gigabit network card and it's still too slow
I'm seriously thinking about going to a 10gb setup [8D]
