Dell XPS 1210 laptop. While the monitor seemed a little small at first the thing os so small and light you literally can take it anywhere and the 6 hour battery rocks.

Except for the processor, its not that bad of a PC. Especially considering I bought it in August 2003 and have been upgrading it ever since...

 

Well I usually build my own rigs but a laptop was just far more practical for school so I have a Toshiba Qosmio F25 (Upgraded ram to 2GB and HD to a 7200rpm 100GB Hitachi). I did just build a pretty nice unit for a friend, wouldn't have minded keeping it for myself:

He uses it for gaming and video editing / 3D modeling. Renders faster than 2 of the computers in the VAST lab rendering half the animation each, he's quite happy with it.
