By "electrical problems", they mean a charging issue, not sensors failing. That would be a true statement. I think you may have misunderstood them. A sliping belt will not cause a map sensor to fail etc.
Check the tension of the belt and like i said before the charging system functionality. If you smell burning rubber you may have a bad bearing in one of the components on the belt (eg altenator, power steering, tensioner), that is causing it to bind up and the belt is slipping over it. That will cause noise, burning and eventually belt failure. To test, remove the belt and inspect all pullyes.

hey m8 we install the new belt n we find out the alternator needed repair soo we took the alternator to mexico n have them repair .. but know it looks like the car runs fine but sometimes it feels is hard to accelerate ... n i find out the one of the cables the go next to the coil on left hand side is disconnected i think thats a ground cable.. would this cable be the problem..
