Default Tire Pressure?

Any suggestions or recommendations for a good highway tire pressure for the 17 inch P225/65R17 BSW A/S Touring Tires?
I have never had Asian tires before and not sure how much over Factory recommendations I can safely run.
When I picked the car up from the dealer they had set them to 40 PSI F/R.

As a rule of thumb, I set my tires at 80% of the maximum rated cold tire pressure as marked on the tire. This gives the best possible combination of soft ride, handling and fuel economy...

The proper cold tire inflation pressure is listed on the
driver’s side B-Pillar.

Too bad the service people can't read that. When we bought our Journey, they had serviced the tires to the max pressure the tire said, not what the sticker said. So, instead of 32 or 34 (can't remember), they had 46 PSI in them. Dumb asses.

Default Recomended is too low

My cars recommended pressure for the P225/65R17 BSW A/S Touring Tires is 32 PSI. That is fine if you want a cushy ride and poor gas mileage and cornering. When I did a temperature scan of the tread when set at 32 psi I got a 25 to 30 degree increase at the sides of the tread over the center. this indicates that the sides are carrying more load than the center. Front tires are worse than rears.
Now I am running 36 in front and 34 in the rear and it seems to be much better. Have not done a temperature scan at this pressure, but my highway MPG is up to 26.

Default I like 36/35

I have been running 36 front and 35 rear for last 4 months. Gas mileage is better and so is handling the mountain roads. I think this is going to be my full time setting loaded or not.
I like the feel much better than when I was at 32/33

Anything under 40 cold should be fine, though 40 will make you think your riding on solid metal wheels.
