2011 dodge journey won't start
We have 5000 km on our new dodge journey rt awd.
We are now on vacation. When we started the car after fueling
up, it suddenly flashed the AWD system needs servicing. Then
it showed the parking break was engaged (break was not engaged),
and the ABS warning light came on. We pulled over to look at
the manual, and I turned the car off. It would not start. The
instrument panel lights up, windows will work, etc., but dead
engine. Called Roadside Assistance who arranged to tow to the
Dodge Dealership, who spent a couple hours looking at the car,
and have NO IDEA what the problem is. They think maybe
the ABS component needs replacing, and that is not allowing
a signal to the starter?! Any suggestions? If they need to replace
that part, it will be DAYS until it ships in from Toronto to BC,
and no guarantee it will work! Nice vacation .... Got to say,
they were great with giving us a loaner car, spoke to our dealership
who are going to arrange for a vehicle for us to take to the
US for our vacation while the car is out of commission and
being worked on. While that is great, would prefer to be
driving my new Journey that was purchased just so we would
not need to worry about this!!
