Default 2012 Journey

Well, time to bite the bullet and get my wife a new car! We purchased our first Dodge for me a few months back and I now have 19,000 miles on it and I love it! That being said I think it's time to add another Dodge to the familly so I am headed to our local Dodge dealer tomorrow after work to check out the new Journeys. I am planning on buying a FWD SXT. Just looking for a little feeback. Pros and cons. Thanks.

It is a nice little car. probably best pick in it's price range. Just stay away from the 19" rims.

Yeah I plan on getting the 17". Edmund review says that it's not their favorite compared to the competitors like the Toyota Rav 4, Honda Pilot, and Chevy Equinox for several reasons so that's why I figured I would ask the owners how they like them.

Well, I would say it's competitor feels more solid on drivibility. As a Mechanic, I recommend you to stay away from Chevy Equinox. However, The Journey has better interior quality and it is bigger. Also, Journey is atually cheaper.
Reliability wise, Toyota is better. Only complaint we kept hearing about the journey is excessive brake wear, and ridiculously expensive and hard to find 19" tires.

Well, I stopped by the dealership today. That is a sharp little SUV! Drives and rides great, lots of storage, and the 3rd row seat is pretty cool. We have 2 small kids so it is plenty of room. I looked at the SXT with the Popular Equipment Group and the Flexible Seating Group. I plan on purchasing the vehicle this week. The sales manager I dealt with on my 2011 Ram was not in but I did speak to him on the phone and he says that he will work out a deal I can't refuse since this will be my 2nd new vehicle from him this year. I will post pics when I get it.

I purchased the Journey today and so far we love everything except there is no auto headlights. You would think that in 2011 if you pay 25k for a vehicle that would be standard. I haven't had to turn on headlights since my first car in high school. Got 28 MPG on the interstate.

Just bought a 2012 SXT 6 cyl. FWD.
Momma loves it.
Heard about the problems with Equinox, never had an import or a Ford.
This is my 10th Mopar.

Default No Auto Lights

Your 2012 has no auto light setting? That's strange, our 2010 SXT has it. We have no DRL though, which I thought was kinda chintzy for a $26,000 car.

The 2012 SXT does not have auto lights.
