Default UNHAPPY with 2009 Dodge Journey( Opinions??)

November my girl bought a used 2009 Dodge Journey from Pete Moore Chevorlet, Januaury came we had a ice storm/snow storm in Florida well radiator fluid was more water then fluid and froze over, this was after we took it in a cold morning and they reset the computer and come to find out a cracked transmission block after they reseted, now its April and the radiators been leaking but not leaving any leaks on the ground now theres a cracked block and gasket and a warranty will not cover due to the malfunction was caused from the hose, WTF should I do. We havent even owned the car more then 6 months and we may have to drop 2500 dollars in parts in labor and is it worth it??

Wow you certainly are getting more than you bargained for with the DJ.
As unfortunate as your experience would appear we don't know all the details
such as your purchase agreement terms.
Did you buy it on a "as is" basis which shifts all the problems to your
shoulders?
It doesn't matter where (geographical location) the vehicle is purchased
there is a prescribed antifreeze level that any certified dealer should
follow.
I would say throwing more money at it is up to you depending how much
you've got into it and what your financial abilities are I would say trade it
as is , other than that find someone to do it as cheap as possible.

Buyer beware when purchasing used vehicles. Sorry for your issues.

Big dilemma that was when we took it back for first issue they told us due to it being a dodge that they are unsure if they could completely fix the issue. Wish they would of told me that before the vehicle was bought then I would of second guessed the purchase and I will keep up to date what happens and always open for feedback. Thanks again for the feedback as well.

09's had their share of issues, being the first year of the new model. We had ours for 5 years and had some minor things go wrong that were covered under warranty (we purchased an extended warranty) but overall was a very dependable vehicle. One of the main reasons for getting another one.

I wouldn't buy a used Dodge at a Chevy dealer. Likewise, I wouldn't buy a used BMW from a Dodge dealer. Auction cars are frightening.

Sorry this is late. I know but it was my wife and her mother before we were married so it wasnt my choice. Dillemas have been dealt with though and a good mechanic that took care of some loose ends to make sure the warranty covered the most expensive items we walked out paying like 600 instead of the 2000
