Emergency brake light is staying for a few miles then goes out. 2009 journey. Any ideas?

 

Fluid low, switch out of adjustment, pads worn.

 

Making the assumption that you use the emergency brake when you park... Try parking without using it. If the light stays off the next time you drive it, I would first look at the switch (pressure) that the pedal presses against. Most likely it is sticking and it takes the vibration of the car traveling a few miles to get it to release turning the indicator light off. If that is the case, try spraying a dry lubricant on it and pressing in a couple of times to spread it around. May be all that is needed.
