Fuses have been replaced along with the TCM(?) and they tell me that my car is fine. OH, but here's the kicker......If I go out and record the honking when it starts, it might help them to determine what sets it off. REALLY?!

I would suggest all of us flood Dodge with phone calls so they have to take notice.

Any suggestions would be great.
Hi Kristy,

If you'd like, I'd be happy to provide the STAR case I listed above to your dealership, or you can provide it to them if you have an appointment coming up. This may be something that they have not tried yet.

Thank you, Kori! Are you at the Dodge corporate office with the "case managers"? Mine was not helpful at all. Everything that I am finding points to the clock spring which dealerships don't seem to want to take care of. My car is still at the service department at Scott Robinson Dodge in Torrance and has been since February11th.

Anything you can do to get this problem fixed would be greatly appreciated. My car was under warranty when I took it in the first time for the same problem and I was told that if the problem is not resolved, it stays under warranty til it is.

Thank you for your assistance!

I reviewed the emails and text from the dealership and Dodge and both said that a STAR case was already assigned but they are still saying there is nothing wrong.

AND, they want me to pay for the rental after Dodge customer care told me to hang on to it til I heard from a case manager. This was on Thursday, the 16th. The case manager emailed me at 6:45 pm on Friday, the 17th. Did he not realize what time it was and that is was a holiday weekend? Plus, he emailed and did not call. We have no record of a call.

I have been going back and forth with these people all morning and I'm quite disgusted that two large companies can be so careless.

Hi Kristy--yes, my team does case manage. If you'd like to private message me with your VIN, that would be great.

It involves inspecting the horn switch, pad, and wiring harness. If you need help making an appointment, please let me know.

Unfortunately, Dodge doesn't care about the safety issues involving the horn. I was told that I could take it to a different dealership but that was as far as it went. I recorded the honking so they could see what was going on, recording me pulling the fuse out to make it stop, and they still do nothing. If my car goes back, it will be the fourth time for this same issue. I am currently driving with no horn.

Did they quote you any repair or replacement of anything AT ALL? There are only so many parts that operate the horn.

PM me the last 8 of the VIN.

I took it to dealership but they said they have to be able to recreate the issue to troubleshoot it and it does this randomly so they have no way to do so. Today I had company security from my work come in and tell me my horns been going on and off since this morning.
Same here. Just had the recall done for the power steering hose and fluid (after putting it off because I didn't want anything else to go wrong), and 2 days later my horn has a mind of its own. It started going off while i was at work for a solid 5 minutes then throughout the night then while i was driving. Dealership says its a software update and that i have to pay for 2 updates with no guarantee that this will fix it (was told it should fix the problem). Called Chrysler to complain 1-800-465-2001 and tell them i have noticed many others with the same issue. I was told that i am the ONLY person to complain about this and that I shouldn't trust what I have read on the internet!!! In my head I am certainly exploding with expletives... very upset
