Default 2015 Dodge Journey Radio changes channels by itself

I have a 2015 Dodge Journey with the 8.4 UConnect system. My radio has started changing channels by itself and I can't figure out why. I have made sure that my hands are nowhere near the buttons on the back of the steering wheel, but it will still occasionally change on it own. I have researched this online and found the steps to reset the radio but it didn't work when I tried. I tried holding the volume button and seek button down for 30 seconds with the car in ACC mode, and I've tried holding down the drivers side cold and hot buttons to bring up the manufacturers menu but this didn't work either. Does anybody have any other suggestions?

Hi Jalynsdad,

Sorry to hear about your concerns with your Uconnect system. We would recommend entering your VIN here to check if there are any software updates for your Uconnect system: https://www.driveuconnect.com/suppor...re-update.html. If this doesn't help feel free to send us a PM with your VIN for further assistance!

We never found a solution for this problem. Ended up trading the vehicle in for a new truck. We had too many issues with that car. It was always one thing after another.

Hi ronhill, We certainly understand why this may be concerning. We kindly recommend having your dealer inspect this concern for you as they are in the best position to assist. If you do work with your dealer, we would be more than happy to provide you with additional support.

just make sure you're not accidentally hitting the radio buttons on the back of the steering wheel.
