Thanks for the update. Yep, switch, sensor and flash the computer.

UPDATE So my car does infact have the sensor for the ambient lighting on my dash and the the guy at the shop tried to go in to add the code to my VIN, but it was not an option for my car. I just don't get it, all Dodge would have to do is allow their dealers to add the code to the vehicles that are equipped to have automatic lights. I would even buy the original MOPAR light switch and pay for the code. The dealer did replace my light switch with one that had the auto option on it, but all that did was caused my headlights to stay on as long as my car was on and he said it would keep my DRLs from coming on, so for now I will just deal with having to turn my light switch to on when I need to. Crazy, crazy. A solution so simple, yet undoable at this time. Next time I purchase a Dodge vehicle, I will definitely look at the light switch.

What did you do in the days before automatic headlights? When it gets dark, turn your lights on. Not that big of a deal. Lol

Well, that's what I did when I had a car that didn't have auto headlights, but like I told you before I was driving a 2004 trailblazer that had them, so it was unexpected ithat a 2016 did not. Also, it is such an easy fix that dodge could make money off of. Why not sell the code and the light switch to the customers that are willing to pay for it. It would be a win/win for everyone.
