Default 06 RT AWD (stock) gas mileage

Only had my Magnum for about 2 wks

I have not had the chance to really drive it on the hwy, but in city (lots of stop and go with the occasional aggressive acceleration) I'm only getting about 14 mpg.

Is this normal?

I average 16.8 city-highway, with an occasional need for speed. No highway milage calculated yet.

Any other AWD RTs out there?

I'd really like some more mpg listings. As is I keep reading 18 and so, but I'm not seeing how. I'm starting to wonder if I have a problem with my car.

I just filled up and was 13.8 mpg

Went into the dealer and of course they say, "It's too new and needs broken in." I insisted it be checked, though, because I've yet to read anyone reporting this low whether new or not. I'm taking it in on Wed.

I am right about this, aren't I?

70% city 30% highway comp. shows 17.7mpg averagewith a heavy foot most of the time.
Flat highway at 60mph I can get 25mpg until I hit a grade.
I'm sure average could be improved with a lighter foot, but I paid for 340HP, I'm gonna use it!
Car has 27K on it now.
A 13.8 average does seem low.

I drive 35 miles to and from work every day. The first 8 miles are back roads with three stop lights. The next 20 miles are highway and the last 7 or so are on a 50mph road. I average between 19 and 20mpg.

I checked mine yesterday and it was 13.9, but it was in town driving. The best I have gotten was 21.6 on a road trip to Michigan.Honestly, this is not an economy car. If you want an economy car you made the wrong choice. Buy a Cavalier. I have to say... I love it. Regards

Mine is not an AWD, that said i drive just over 100 miles a day total to get to and from my office. I have seen as high as 26 mpg and as low as 19. I run at about 80 mph on Hi 70, East / West. Fuel type makes a big difference. put in cheap fuel and you loose mileage, put in a blend and it gets even worse. Best fuel for mileage is 93 octane, that said at $3.10 a gallon is a $50.00 fill up. Just like someone else said, this car was never designed for fuel economy

(87 octane) When I drive, mine gets 19-21mpg consistent... When my wife drives, it goes down to 16-18...
