With only about 6800 miles on my RT I doubt that I'm in a position to complain but, to date, nothing I regret. I do notice that I attract a lot of state troopers, 12 year old junior high students that say, and I quote,.." Nice car, dude!" ("that's Mr. Dude to you, son")...and deer. As for problems...nothing. No rattles, no issues, nothing...but again, at 6800 miles there shouldn't be! The car's a gem to drive, I get about 22.4 mpg, and more than a few looks (at the car). Life is good...so far.
I've found that no matter what car I drive...it comes down to how you treat it. Stay in the gas pedal, leave the bra on 24/7, change oil every 15k or when you remember, and check the tires every New Year...your gonna have problems (not that you do)... there are a few lemons out there, but...few for the most part.

That's just what you'll find on message boards like this. People discussing "issues" they have about their vehicle.

You shouldn't have it affect your decision to purchase. The amount of complaints to compliments will be MUCH larger here. And is probably no where near indicative of the true ratio of problems with the car.

Exactly... more people would be willing to post problems than satisfaction... that makes sense... the forum would be awful boring if it were choked with thousands of "nothing's wrong" emails...

They are mechanical, they will have problems, but on the average, I am guessing no more than any other car. Again, just guessing... don't have any real facts.

Remember, this is the first year for this car, so you may find a few more problems than normal.

BTW, my RT is 4 months old, has 3500 miles, and NO PROBLEMS!

Like the other posts said, people are more likey to complain about a problem than to tell you what a great car it is.

The car has a good warranty, so buy the car, you won't be sorry.

I have had a lot of guys ask me about the car (like everytime I drive it) and have even had a woman come up and ask me about the Magnum. I told the lady that the car is available with a V6, her reply? OH NO, we want the big V8!

Just a great car,

Bob

7,000 miles, had one issue with a spoiler defect from the factory, dealer replaced. No other problems. One of the best cars I have owned.

I think we have a tendancy to post "problems" to see if they are just isolated or are occuring with others. I have had ours for two months with 3550 on it. Mechanicallyand fit finish it is great and fun to drive. It does draw attention from lots of different people. Would I buy the same one again you bet, one of the best on the road. Ours is daily driver and used to haul stuff to the "cabin". Replaced the 2000 durango as did not need that large of car anymore. Plus the dogs love it as well. Our shepard has found she can lay in the back seat with her head on the arm rest.

All of your points are taken. Just kinda made me wonder but I see what you mean how laim would it be to just say "I love my car ...." "....me tooo" "....No problems (thought to self accept for the ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___") Makes sense

I just hope the SRT has everything worked out. That is what I am holding out all this time. I plan to get that!

Every car, including German, Korean, and yes, Japanese cars have problems. Especially in the first year of production. If you don't own a first year production car or check out forums like this, you wouldn't hear a lot of the problems seen in cars. So, don't judge the car on what you read in forums like this, b/c forums like this allows owners and future owners to discuss problems and how to fix them.

Get the RT!! Sure I have had some minor issues: BA stereo balance issue, a slight right pull that will be corrected when the camber kit is delivered to the dealer, the dealer putting WRONG oil in.
Once you have driven an RT, it would take whole lot of issuse to even make you think twice about owning and driving such an awesome vehicle. We are posting our minor issues to get feedback from other owners.
My bet is that there is not ONE owner that regrets their Magnum purchase.
I'll drive the wheels off this one and get another in 2 years!!!
Later,
