Just wanting to know what's the average mpg your getting with 5.7 and 3.5. I would be driving mostly highway with some traffic. I'm thinking of selling my Bullitt for a r/t. More room for the family and won't be a garage queen. Thanks

About the same here... I have seen 28 MPG on the way to and from Las Vegas from Southern California. Which seems very logical at 4 Cylinders, since I routinely get 14 MPG on City Streets and in Traffic. With the RT, it is hard to keep off the pedal. Just too much fun....

 

Same here...between 27 and 28 mpg with the cc set at 70-75 mph. I have an '06 Magnum R/T RWD.

 

I have an 06 R/T AWD. I've only had it a few weeks, but so far I get about 22 on the highway.

 

I have an 05 SXT 3.5 and I get 30MPG hwy and 22 city ( and that isobserved not a guess)

 

I have gotten about 27-28 MPG with my R/T driving at about 80 MPH but this is accelerating very slow and hardly using the brakes. I think the R/T is almost at good as the 3.5 on the highway if you drive very smooth. In stop and go around town all bets are off with the R/T. I wouldn't be suprised if I only got 10 MPGmuch of the time.

 

I have a short commute to college (5 minutes) as well as my job (20 minutes mabye) In basically all stop and go traffic with the exception of work if I get lucky I can sustain about 40-50MPH. And mabye a little highway what can I expect to get in the R/T?

 

I recently bought an '06 R/T Hemi AWD and have been quite unimpressed with the MPG I get. Of course you can't know exactly how I drive it, but for comparison I can say that the same 22 mile commute that I was doing with a '94 V6 Chevy Beretta where I got about 25MPG, I've been getting around 15 or 16 MPG with the Magnum, though it dropped a few more MPG when I had to start it some additional times in the cold Chicago winter, going out for lunch and such. That's way less than the difference I expected to get by comparing the EPA figures for both cars. I don't know if those figures can be trusted at ALL anymore!

I've been considering trading "down" to a 3.5L version so I can keep AWD and the traction/stabilty features which I love, but I want to check what other people are getting. My mileages for "local" driving are given above, and I can say that driving 75MPH on flat midwest highways I got 18-19MPG only, with very minimal "hot-*******" (family in car!). Is this typical or should I consider having this vehicle checked for trouble, something that doesn't show up on engine diagnostics, etc.?

I'm going to take another long highway trip again and I can verify these figures. The AWD and power is a beautiful combination for performance, and the look is a nice head-turner, both well worth the risk of sideswiping folks occasionally because I can't see out the sides very well.... =)

 

I have an R/T and the highest I've seen is 23 mpg on the highway (60 mph)and it drops to 19 mpg on the interstates (80 mph). And I certainly get less around town which is the bulk of my driving. I guess that's why I kept my '95 Eclipse witha turbo 4 banger. I use the Magnum on the weekends. I don't know how everyone else is getting higher mpg than mine.
