Default Extended warranty

Newbie here, so please excuse if a repeat question, but our 2005 Magnum R/T Hemi is just coming out of warranty - 35700 miles. So far, we have had warranty pick up approx. $1400.00 worth of work on the car - Oxygen sensor, EGR valve, Axle seal, trans seal, power roof module, and a few other cosmetic issues. Nervous about running out of warranty because of reliability / issues so far. Anyone know what percentage of owners buy extended warranties for their Magnums ?
Thanks.

I bought extended warranty at dealer when I bought my '05 used. It carries bumper-to-bumper coverage until 70k. Lots of stuff can break, so I bought a little piece of mind.

Have the 7/70 drivetrain, but the little nuisance items have been a pest.

I am looking at this place for an extended warranty for my 05 RT. I can take the bumper to bumper out to 7/70 for about $1000 and they take payments w/no finance charges. My car has 30,000 on it but my 3 years are up in Feb.

I got the 7/70 on my '05. The salesman acted like it was "news" to him when I mentioned it. He said that the 3 year was in effect, but I reminded him that the 7/70 still applied to the '05 (I bought my RT at the end of the year).
So far, with 23,K miles, I've had no mechanical problems. The only issues I have had were cosmetic, due to the car being damaged on the lot prior to me buying it. That's another story though.

Happy Holidays!
I have an '05 also, andwas told that it IS transferable to the next owner(what a great selling point! ).The other option is thatDodge will pro-rate a refund when you cancel the warranty.Extended warranty makes good sense if you keep the car longer than 3 yrs. I plan on keeping mine for quite some time. Most car loans are now 60-72 months, and a 36 month Bumper-to-bumper warranty doesn't cut it anymore. Especially for a first year automobile. How many timescan you afford to have your car in the shop (out of warranty)before youare convinced an extended warrany is worth it?

LakeErieFish - exactly my concern, but common business practice tells me that a product SHOULD be made good enough that such warranties are not needed ... in a perfect world I guess.

Woodeman, where did you find a $1000 warranty ? The local dealer I use is offering a$1500 bumper to bumper.

Thanks for the reponses all.
