RECALL for RT
While I was on the phone with Customer Service trying to find out what all is furnished with the Tow Package that I paid for at time of purchase. Since the brochures list different parts such as leveling shocks, trans cooler, wiring harness and hitch. Dealer doesn’t know what is being shipped. The Customer Service Person also mentioned a RECALL - D500, which is the radiator isolation bracket, on the RT version but didn’t say if it affected any other models. Did anyone else know of or had the bracket replace??
Are we having fun yet?

I knew of the recall since I visit dodge.com a lot just to check on recalls and other issues/announcements from DC. The parts haven't made it to the dealers as of yesterday but they are expected by Friday. This does affect ALL versions of the Magnums but I don't know how many.
There is another recall for certain build dates on the antifreeze concentration. Seems like the Canuks were drinkin' the stuff instead of puttin' it in the cars!! LOL - just kidding, just kiddin' so don't trow nuttiin', eh??
Dealership checked mine and adjusted by adding more antifreeze. Took about 30 minutes only.

I just got off the phone with my local Dodge service department, they had sent me a postcard regarding 2 recalls for my Magnum RT, they are D50 & D51.
D50 is about the Radiator Isolator Brackets (2)
D51 is about the Anti-Freeze Concentration Level
My service guy says "we don't know anything about a recall notice" for my Magnum. I tell him, well - you guys sent me a postcard about the recall. Service guy asks, is it a 2004? No I say, it is a 2005.
I tell him I am supposed to ask for an appointment and to bring in my car.
He says, well bring it in on Monday morning and drop it off. He adds, "well, I don't know what the recall is for or if we have to order any parts".
This is why I hate to bring in my car for service to ANY dealer!
Sorry DodgeMech, but this kind of service does nothing to boost my trust with dealer service.
Oh well,
Bob

I did a follow up phone call to my dealer to make sure they had the repair kits for my service appointment, service guy says to call first before I come in - they have only received 2 repair kits so far.
I know they have sold a lot more Magnums than 2.

It is really not a big deal, 2 little brackets. The dealers don't mail the postcards-DCX does and they don't tell us 1st. We don't find out about recalls until DCX sends us a copy of the recall with our parts allotment. DCX is also classic for mailing postcards to customers before parts are available....so customers get mad at the dealer when we can't do the recall when they call. Take it easy on the dealer, we just got notification Tuesday and parts showed Wednesday.
