Default Exhaust/Cat Back Systems and Headers

I want to add a good cat back system as soon as my Magnum arrives. I have read several threads on this forum where people have modded the stock system. It looks like 40 series flowmasters are popular. So that is one option that has a good BFTB.

In reasearching a little on the web I have found after martket systems from Borla and Magnaflow.Magnaflow offers a 2.5" stainless steel system with an X-muffler p/n 15628. The Borla system is 2.25".

I found both these systems and some other goodies on http://www.lmperformance.com/c/7/75.html The prices looked pretty decent on the exhaust systems. e.g. Magnaflow #15628 $859.95

I haven't located anything on headers except a post on this forum that Dynomax will have some soon.

Is the stock exhaust 2.25" or 2.5"
Are there any other cat back system offered at this time?
Any headers Available?

I also read sometime back that Gibson was supposed to be demoing a header setup.....I think I'll be using the dynatech headers with the magnaflow exhaust, should be a nice bump in power and sound

The second cat back is by Magnaflow instead of Dynomax. My hope is that Dynomax will come out with a system for the Magnum RT soon.

Farhawk, Don't know where you live but anyone in Penna in the area of Lancaster, Harrisburg I just installed Flowmaster 40s and had the resonators removed. All welded stainless pipe. Here's the Kicker.... $207 and took about 1 hr and I was on my way. Smiling..
If interested it's a little shop in the country. RED RUN AUTO. The 3 young guys are Amish and work like busy bees. They will also make any exhaust system, Just tell them what you want. With $20 labor I just had to tip them. 1st class work.

Inferno RT,
Sounds like a great deal. A bit far from Alabama (-: If the stock system is 2.5" I will do something similar.

I just bought my Magnaflow kit trough www.highhorseperformance.com and I got a lot better deal than that. I installed the kit in my driveway in about 1 1/2 hr's. It sounds and looks great and I'd buy it again. Also ordered th K&N for 249.00 E-mail the sales dept. and ask about the promotion price for the Magnaflow's like it says on the site.
