Wash n Wax-
Nice ride! Wheels look great on it. Just out of curiosity, why the wait on it...did you have options that you wanted specifically, or just availability?
Enjoy...I can't wait to drive every chance I get now!

Thanks for the compliment. I have no idea why mine took so long. It must have been the combination of options or something. I heard that the RT's are backlogged while the SXT's are coming in on schedule. It could be the demand for the Hemi engine...

Oh man those wheels look nice. I've seen them on a white Magnum with Eibach springs that was lowered (at a different forum). I ordered a set of them in 18x8 Monday morning.

Yours is the same color as mine and ohhhh those 20's and the Pirelli's look like they fit *great* in there. I *could* change to 20's I suppose, but I'd have to decide pretty fast (it'll take 3 weeks to drill a set of wheels for me at the Zinik factory). Would be a lot more expensive though. About another $100 each for the wheels, and about the same for tires. Plus I'm limiting my tire choices still further with that bigger size I think :-|

How does it ride compared to the original 18's? Money and options down the road aside, my biggest concern is keeping enough rubber on the road to maintain comfort.

I think I saw the same Cool Vanilla Magnum that you saw on the other forum. That is what prompted me to get the Zinik Z1's. I loved the look but did not want to go with such low profile tires that he went with (245/40/20). At 265/45/20, my sidewall is only about 2/3 of an inch smaller than the stock tire, so the ride quality has not suffered much. But don't kid yourself. There will always be a sacrifice in smoothness with a bigger wheel and tire combination. If you want to retain the most integrity of the original ride, you are doing the right thing staying with 18's. Of course everyone has a different idea about what the best ride is...some like it stiffer and more controlled to take away the floaty feeling. It is usually a trade off. I may lower the car an inch or so as well, for the sake of appearance. But like yourself, I do not want to sacrifice any more smoothness in the ride.

actually, doing the math, you've only lost 3/10 of an inch less on sidewall with 265/45-20's, since the stock 225/60-18's are 28" in overall diameter, and your new 265/45-20's are 29.4" in overall diameter, that's 5" of sidewall for the OEM size, and 4.7" for your new setup. Looks good, got any rubbing with the 265's? I am thinking 275/35's on the rear with 20x9.5" rims, and 245/40's in the front on 20x8's. The outer diameters will be 27.7 front and 27.6 rears....should keep the odometer fairly close to stock, with a minor loss in ride comfort for the lower profile tires.

I was seriously thinking about black....it's a wicked nice looking color when clean and polished up!!!
