Magnum rattled like a tin can
We have had our manesium pearl RT for 14k miles now and there was always a rattling coming from the rear area.
Well, i found it was coming from the rear hatch and pulled it all apart.
The clips to hold wire connectors were doing most of the rattling alont with some cables. I zip tied them up and made sure they were quiet before putting this back together. However, i am planning on using some sound deadening stuff like dynamat or equivalent back there. The entire rear area of my magnum is loud, and always has been. I plan to remove the spare and throw down some dynomat and under the rear hatch panel too.
Figured i would pass along this tip for hunting down a rattle.

When was your car made? I have never experienced any rear noise from the back of my Magnum. I was just thinking that some insulation was left out on your vehicle for some reason.
I noticed this last weekend while testing driving several Magnums. Drove an SXT and it had a lot of wind noise coming from the rear of car at highway speeds. The RT I ended up buying has no wind noise at any speed.

Adjustment of striker plate. Remove panel, pops off at the bottom, srrews at top. Loosen bolts on plate and move slightly away from you. Re-tighten and test hatch. Repeat until you get the adjustment right.
I have had no issues either, well, my license plate holder did rattle, but that was because I was throwin 3000 watts at 2 focall 11" woofers, but a little dynamat and that was all fixed! Otherwise, even with all the spl I am pushing it hasnt caused any issues with rattles anywhere else in my car.
