Default Brighter Bulbs

I put the Sylvania Silverstars in over the weekend. Yes they are much brighter. Does anyone know of a brighter yellow bulb or up grades for the fog lamps?

It is an easy up-grade to do. From a 1-10 on the difficulty scale I would give it a 2. It is pretty easy to do and pretty hard to screw up. Take your time. Dont touch the bulb and everything will be as bright as day in no time.

I didn't have Cal Jeff's experience. Oh the builbs are easy to get to alright (you'll have to remove the airbox to get at the driver's side bulbs, which is easy) but they are a twist-unlock kind of mechanism, where at the end (or the beginning if removing) of the twist there is a solid detent that snaps the bulb into the housing.

I had no problem with the lo-beams for either side. But I had one heck of a time with the hi-beams as my hands were too big to fit well into the available space and I couldn't get the leverage needed to snap that bulb finally into place. Eventually I got it but I bet my girlfriend probably could have gotten a much better angle in there and just popped them in in a second.

No way was I asking her for help. Never would have heard the end of it.

For brighter fogs or headlamps check out www.piaa.com. They are like 70 bucks a pair but are known for being EXCEPTIONAL

I think that the stock bulbs do a good job as is, much better than the headlights on my old 96' Chevy Impala SS.

Much better!
